Highfield aboard Sophisticated Lady
Our tender is a Highfield Sport 390. It’s our ride to shore, our shopping run and our scouting boat, set up as a small systems boat of its own.
What we run

- Navigation: a Raymarine Element 7 chartplotter with depth transducer at the tender helm.
- Power: BougeRV solar on the tender bimini.

Highfield describes the Sport 390 as a tender with “ample storage for everything you need to take ship-to-shore.” Their published specs:
- Overall length 3.90 m (12′ 10″), overall width 1.92 m (6′ 4″)
- Maximum load 716 kg (1,579 lb), up to 7 people
- Max power 60 hp, 30 l (7.9 gal) fuel tank
- High-tensile chromated and powder-coated aluminium hull, ORCA® Hypalon or PVC tubes
