How we stay in touch with shore and other boats, and keep an eye on the boat from afar, aboard Sophisticated Lady.
What we run
- Starlink Gen 3, with its own Starlink router, on the new SeaView Global radar tower on the hardtop, sharing the tower with the Raymarine Quantum 2 Doppler radar.
- ICOM IC-M510 VHF radio at the nav station, for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore calls.
- ICOM MA-510TR AIS, also at the nav station, so we can see other boats and they can see us.
